What time should I arrive at the studio?
Please make it part of your practice to arrive early. Getting to class about 15 minutes early can help you sign in, place your mat, acclimatize to the heat, and even enjoy a little shavasana prior to class! If it is your first class at the studio, we will require you to arrive 20 minutes early to complete any paperwork and have a quick orientation.
Do I need to check in when I arrive at the studio?
Yes, please be sure to check in at reception.
What if I'm not flexible?
Perfect! You do not have to be flexible to start yoga; it’s about increasing your flexibility to protect your mobility for the future.
What do I wear?
Wear light, non-restrictive clothing that you are comfortable stretching in, and be prepared to sweat in them!
What if I am late or do not attend a class that I registered for?
If you do not arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your registered class, the door may be locked and/or we may have to give your spot away. You will not be permitted in the class if the class has started. First-timers must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class. Late arrivals will be considered no-shows, and will be charged accordingly. Cancellations for Hot Yoga must be made at least 30 minutes prior, and at least 12 hours prior for all fitness classes (Spin, Barre, Surfset, HIIT, Bootcamp) and 5:30am classes, - otherwise you will be charged accordingly. Please see the Cancellation Policy on our Mindbody page for further details.
Can I leave the room during a class?
Please come prepared (with enough water etc.) to stay in the studio throughout the entire class, including final savasana, as leaving could interrupt other practitioners’ meditations. The teacher will acknowledge when the class is over. If you do need to leave during class, please signal the teacher to let them know if you are okay or require assistance. Please note that resting out on your mat when you feel you need to is highly encouraged; even the most seasoned yogi's lay out!
I can only attend part of a class. Is that okay?
If your schedule does not permit you to start and finish with the rest of the class, please find another class that does.
Can I talk in the yoga studio?
Silence is the greatest gift that we can offer ourselves and others. Please, not talking or whispering in the hot studio before, during, or after class. The same rules do not apply in the Surf/Spin studio!
What do I eat before class?
We recommend you either refrain from eating, or eat very lightly, two hours before class, but ensure you hydrate well throughout the day. Try to drink lots of water after class.
Do you have water?
Absolutely! We have a filtered water station for you to fill your water bottles. Please note that for safety reasons, we do not permit glass bottles in the studio.
What do I bring?
A water bottle (non-glass), yoga mat (for yoga), and a towel. We do have mats and towels available for purchase or rent, if you should need them. Please leave all valuables at home.
What can I bring in the studios?
You can bring your mat (yoga studio), towel, and water in the studios. Please leave everything else at home or in the change rooms.
What if I'm unsure about whether I can handle the heat?
That’s completely normal. We encourage you to arrive at the studio at least 20 minutes before your class to allow you to start adjusting to the temperature, and we welcome you to lie back on your mat any time throughout the practice. We also have classes that are a good introduction to the heat; please feel free to ask us at reception about classes that might be best suited for you to start with.
Is your Spin room heated as well?
Nope, the room is regular temperature. Still prepare to work up a big sweat though!
Can I use my own spin shoes?
You sure can, as long as they're SPD cleats and are clean. Please just show them to us when you check in.
Do I need shoes for SurfSET?
Nope! Most people go barefoot, but some do like to wear grip socks.
Can my pass be shared?
Sorry, all passes are non-shareable, non-transferrable, and non-refundable.
When does my pass expire?
Drop-in class passes expire 1 year from the date of purchase. Unlimited passes are to be activated within a year from purchase, and they then expire accordingly.
My receipt says that my Unlimited pass expires from the purchase date. Isn't it supposed to be from the date of the first class?
That is correct - unlimited passes will expire from the date of your first class, but the actual expiry date can only be set in the system once you've scheduled your first class. Unfortunately your receipt will not reflect this, but you should be able to monitor it in your account.
I just bought an unlimited pass and am trying to book my classes, but the system is saying I owe more money. Why?
This can be for a couple of reasons:
One - if you created a new account, the system will not automatically link it to your pass.
The other - the system activates your pass on the first class that you book. So, for example, if you book a class on Saturday, and then decide you want to come on the Friday before, the system will think you need to pay. To avoid this, be sure to book the first class that you want to come to first, and your pass will start from there.
